Since I was a little girl I always had food around. Whether it was comfort, boredom, habitual, laziness, all of the above... It was always there. It was there when my parents got divorced, when my grandparents died, when I graduated high school and had no idea what I was doing with my life... food was there. While I never particularly disliked healthy foods; cheese and bread is where I was addicted. I never saw or cared about the consequences of my actions when I was growing up. Even after being constantly reminded that I was going to get diabetes. Getting punished for saying a bad word or watching Ren and Stimpy (with my older brother) was the "worst" punishment I faced. I took that for granted my entire life, and while I never could see my feet - I never knew how severe my problems were - since no one else in my immediate family had a weight problem it fell by the wayside..accepted. I always had a belly, even before I could make my own food decisions. So, the pizza once a week wasn't really the problem initially. The fact that as I was growing up I never saw a problem - was the problem. People are supposed to be able to sit on roller coasters without the terrifying idea that they'd get made fun of for being fat and had to "sit this one out". The idea that I had to go to the adult (plus-sized) clothing store when I was 10 because I didn't fit in normal clothes. The fact that I'm sitting here at 27 and I have to go to the grandma clothing sections and stores or spend 75$ on a pair of jeans that aren't cute/flattering/from this century.
I can't be that girl anymore. Not letting myself ignore the problems and finding solutions that will inevitably save my life. I haven't been to a doctor in 10+ years because I know that diabetes is waiting for me. I have been learning and progressing on losing weight since Thanksgiving 2013 and I have officially launched my journey. People will run up and ask what the secret is - but we all really know what that is, right?
Eat Well. Train. Live.
While I've been striving to eat better on this journey I know there is no perfection. Guess what? No one is perfect. I still watch cookie dough ice cream youtube videos and stare at the peanut butter jar wishing I could eat its entirety. But I am not going to do that anymore because I do not have to do it. I'm better than that. I'm better than I was yesterday and tomorrow I'll be better than today. .....
August 2015
Here we are, a year later while still searching.. for answers, for perfection, and everything else.
At least with the coming of age, also brings a coming of wisdom.
To begin this again is refreshingly grown-up and worth the experience. With this new blog I'm working on, it will not solely be dedicated to fitness. I will also post reviews of products, and beauty related things. I'm not just my weight loss journey. I am a grown woman with various interests.. shocker! I love food, tea, coffee, animals, movies, television shows (more recently), photography, makeup, skincare, etc etc. I also love a good deal. If I can get into couponing and stuff that would be awesome.. but I'm a total newbie to that realm. So it's... as everything else.. a learning process.
So, come along this journey with me!

Well, I'm back again. This time with a new outlook and new passion for expressing myself.. since this normally requires friends, I'd much rather do this on the internet. That way, if anyone finds this - then I still don't have to care. I will be as frank as possible, and honestly these future posts will include random things from cooking to make-up and beauty. The point about having a blog is that you can enter whatever information you want and no one to tell you not to it. It's probably nice to be your own boss, but I must say my current boss is pretty cool too.
So, I had a spark of idea that I may want to share ideas about recipes, grocery lists, or other random things since I'm somewhat transitioning into becoming vegetarian and I need a place to bounce my own ideas around (since my head isn't working out so well.) So here it is. Now that I have a computer where I don't have issues viewing pages, or worrying about whether or not its going to shut off, or crash - I figured this is as good of a time as any to get things into the universe. Maybe someday I'll even be able to help someone. That's my goal, anyway. If that doesn't happen for a long time then so be it but at least I can say I tried. A lot of random interests and nowhere to go.
Well:
Horror movies
Movies in general
Make-up
Skin Care
Television
Reviews
Herbalife
FOOD
cooking
Pets/Dogs
technology
candles
in no particular order, these are some of the things I plan to write about on any given day. If I'm thinking about any thing, it will most likely go here.
So, have fun and thank you for joining me on this interesting journey!

Can you hear me, pickles? It's me. Casey.
Hello everyone.
I am coming back in full force in updating my little corner of heaven on a lightly sugared (I wish!) end of the world. I've been toying around with the idea of actually posting & becoming more active on this page.
Finally able to work out some kind of schedule appropriate for my 40 hour - work week and being a full time wife, etc.
Since I have been on a quest to better my lifestyle and my health (all somewhat beauty related) I figured this would be a good place to post my thoughts, and daily doings of health. ;)
While I am by no means an expert, I hope this page reaches (and can help) someone that is looking to better themselves.
All inclusive to updating the look of the site itself and learning more about coding and things like that.
How are you guys doing? Anyone out there?
xo

New year, new you!
Hello lovely people of the internet!
I've decided that throughout my few posts I've created that the game will be multiplied beyond your wildest imagination!
There has been many a promises made on this channel, and sadly there has not been the follow-through as intended.
Though this is a little 'rough around the edges', I plan on expanding my knowledge and using this as a stepping stone onto any future en devours.
With that being said, today's plan is to tweak the background and aesthetics of this place.. updates and what-not. The feeling behind that is it will bring more people to this place and share information with others. If this is unsuccessful, then so be it.
Generally, this will be a beauty related blog... including but not limited to: makeup, skincare, haircare, etc. As originally stated in previous posts, anyway. If I can keep up with this then I may open a personal blog as well..
any suggestions or recommendations are always welcome. :)
ciao!

BIG DAY!
Well.. as most of you know, I recently got married.. to my best friend :)
It seems as though time has been flying by since then; which calms the fear that marriage is "difficult" or different from being in a relationship. With me and J, it isn't. For the most part, everything is similar as before..which is comforting.
Especially since we're moving to PA TOMORROW! Starting our own life together and all that .. just thought I'd give an update to anyone that isn't a regular in my life.
It's kinda sad, I've been a DE resident my entire life and now I'll be living in a great loft, with my husband and we will be getting a pet very soon :)
Since I'll only be working part time (at a new job, a bank) I'll be more available to update this and possibly begin the YT like i've been planning on for the past 6 months - 1 year! finally..
Gotta get up early tomorrow,
pics of the new place soon.. in the mean time you can look at this adorable guy -

Haircare!
For what it's worth, my hair is fairly healthy. My hairstylist, Christine, couldn't even tell that I use heat and styling tools every day on my hair. Which.. is strange, but I'll take it!
I don't really use anything special, but I have been preferring lately the Garnier Fruitis bio-degradable shampoo. It still smells fruity enough that it doesn't overpower the conditioner (which is Moroccan Oil) I get no complaints from my fiancé that's for sure :)
As far as a lot of products after the shower, I use the heat taming spray, and rarely I have to use the "its a 10" leave-in conditioner - but even then its only 2-3 sprays (and I have a LOT of hair!)

Dermalogica
As I've said, I have dry skin. Today I went to Ulta and fell back in love with the Dermalogica Ultra-calming skincare line.
I have a lot of redness in my skin, and this cancels it out. With that being said, redness is my biggest problem. To start, I got the 30 day supply of the set - and if I continue with it I'll gradually purchase the full size of each product. Dermalogica is expensive, otherwise I'd have bought all the items already.
I also got a bronzer and mascara from purminerals, bigsexyhair hairspray (which is initially why i went) and a hairbrush. I'm pretty satisfied with my purchases, I just need to go back to the salon and get the morocean oil treatment I wanted (ill do that when I go back).
My stomach isn't feeling too good, otherwise I'd continue but I'm going to go back to watching Daria!
